Joe grew up in South Central Minnesota, just 20 miles from the Iowa border. The son of a Baptist pastor and a music teacher, his parents influenced him to chase after Jesus and music. While attending Crown College, he was actively involved with the school worship teams as well as worship teams at nearby churches, and after graduation he made Worship a regular part of his church service -- volunteering as a musician, a/v tech, or in any other needed capacity at the churches he attended.
A self-described "Bible and Theology Nerd", Joe is currently back at Crown College working towards his Masters in Divinity. There, he also serves as a coach and the Spiritual Development Coordinator for the Crown College Football Team. He has a passion for the story of Scripture and a desire to tell the stories of God's glory.
