Have you ever wondered why God’s chosen people were taken captive from Jerusalem to Babylon? Do you understand God’s purpose in allowing three young Jewish men to be placed into a hot furnace for not bowing down to a pagan idol? How about His purpose for Daniel going into the lion’s den?

Have you read the book of Jeremiah to see the truth in God’s Word and realized that God means what He says? Unfortunately, the Jewish people didn’t take God’s Word seriously and suffered the consequences. How does this apply to us today?

This year, BSF is doing a study called Exile and Return. You are invited to join us in studying the Babylonians taking Daniel and the Jewish people into exile in Babylon for 70 years. You will also study some of the Jewish people returning to Jerusalem when God sends Ezra and Nehemiah back to physically and spiritually rebuild what was destroyed during the Babylonian captivity of Jerusalem.

Through this study, you will learn about God’s character, His purposes during this historic time, and how they apply to our life today. God never gives up on the people He loves and those who love Him. Also, did you know that the Old Testament is the foundation for understanding the New Testament? To participate in this study, you can find more details at www.BSFInternational.org where you may choose to join a local group or an online group.
