A Shepherd's Heart

I want to give a “shout out” to the Small Group Shepherds that serve in Sunday morning Kid’s Ministry. I cannot overemphasize enough their role as shepherds to our preschool and elementary-aged children. A shepherd watches over and prays for those in their care. They point their flock and open the gate to the Good Shepherd (John 10:2-3). Our small group leaders create an environment in which relationships develop among the children, and where they feel physically, emotionally, and spiritually safe. Mariann Croucher, Micah Houfek, Andrew Hennen, Ashley Magruder, Cathy Paulson, and Katie Hennen are the consistent small group leaders who minister to LRC Kids with a shepherd’s heart.

For the months of January and February, we have dedicated one Sunday for each small group to be lifted up in prayer by their small group shepherd during our Sunday morning Team Time. Parents, please reach out to your child’s leader with any prayer requests as they continue to pray for your children throughout the year.
